 Growing up in Austria, surrounded by the enchanting aroma of freshly baked pastries, my path to becoming a chocolatier was paved with family traditions, passion, and a deep love for culinary arts. Here’s how I followed in my ancestors' footsteps and embraced the art of chocolate-making.
 
A Family Legacy
My journey began in my family’s pastry shop, a beloved establishment first started by my grandfather. For decades, our shop was a cornerstone of the community, known for its exquisite pastries, cakes, and, of course, chocolates. As a child, I spent countless hours in the shop, watching my parents and grandparents transform simple ingredients into mouthwatering creations. Their dedication to quality and craftsmanship left an indelible mark on me.
 
The Magic of the Pastry Shop
The pastry shop was more than a business; it was a place of joy, celebration, and creativity. Returning to the US with a wealth of knowledge and a burning passion, I decided to carve my own niche in the family legacy by becoming a chocolatier. I wanted to create chocolates that not only honored my family's traditions but also incorporated my own innovations and commitment to sustainability. With the support and encouragement of my family, I started Dallmann Confections, dedicated to crafting exquisite artisan chocolates.
